Our History

Valley Kingdom Ministries has a great spiritual heritage built by men and women who love the Lord and the ministry and who have contributed much time, talent and treasure. Valley Kingdom Ministries International traces its origins to “New Christian Valley Missionary Baptist Church” which was established in 1972 . At the time New Christian Valley Missionary Baptist Church was organized Rev. Halbert was selected as the first PastorIn 1975 the first purchased location of the Valley was on South Page Avenue in Harvey, IL which consisted of 75 members. In 1981 Rev. John Sanders was elected as our second Pastor. In 1984, Pastor Sanders resigned and the Valley was without pastoral direction for roughly 5 months but remained under the leadership of Deacon Anderson and a few faithful members which allowed them to stay together. The search for a spiritual leader came to an end on September 23, 1984 when God selected and the members elected ME, at the time as Reverend Harold Daniel Wilson which I was the third Pastor in the history of New Christian Valley Missionary Baptist Church.

In 1995 I was consecrated to Bishop, became a Prophet that spoke into people’s lives, and then an Apostle that established and planted churches and has a global apostolic call to the nations. And in 1994 the Valley joined the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship and in 1995 we changed our name to New Christian Valley Full Gospel Baptist Church. In 2000 we changed our name to Valley Kingdom Ministries International. The “Valley” is who we are, The “Kingdom” is what we are, Ministry is what we do, Internationally is where we do it.

As the Valley grew, our second property was purchased and we moved to South Holland, IL in June of 1990. In 1993 a second worship was added. In 1995 a third worship was added. Our third property was purchased in Oak Forest, IL in 1996. We were one church in two locations.
