Job Summary
Are you a Spirit-led musician with a heart for worship and a gift for leadership? Valley Kingdom Ministries International is seeking a Minister of Music to lead our congregation in passionate, Christ-centered worship and to cultivate a thriving music ministry that honors God and blesses His people.
The Minister of Music will plan, coordinate, and lead the music ministry of Valley Kingdom Ministries International, including worship services, rehearsals, seasonal programs, and special events. This role combines musical excellence with spiritual leadership to create an atmosphere of worship that draws people into the presence of God.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead and oversee music for all worship services
• Plan worship sets in coordination with the Senior Pastor and preaching calendar
• Direct choirs, praise teams, musicians, and other music ministry participants
• Organize and lead rehearsals; recruit and train volunteers
• Arrange music and prepare special musical presentations for holidays and church events
• Encourage spiritual growth and discipleship among team members
• Manage music ministry budget and equipment needs
MUST-HAVES
• A growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a calling to worship ministry
• Strong vocal and/or instrumental skills
• Experience in leading worship in a church setting
• Knowledge of a variety of worship styles (traditional, contemporary, gospel, blended)
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with pastors, staff, and volunteers
NICE-TO-HAVE
• Degree in Music, Worship Arts, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Familiarity with worship software (e.g., Planning Center, ProPresenter) and sound systems
• Choral directing experience is a plus
