Purpose: To identify and connect businesses and resources to form strategic alliances, educational platforms, targeted marketing, and purposeful networking for marketplace ministry.

Vision: Businesses that are Beacons for Christ who serve with integrity and a spirit of excellence while increasing their profitability and enhancing the financial stability of VKMI through tithing and gifting.

FIRST CHOICE MINISTRY

Purpose: First Choice Ministry is a vessel of God’s love, offering, encouragement, resources, and opportunities that help men recently released from prison strengthen their belief, restore their lives, and walk in the hope of Christ.

Vision: To see the lives of men recently released from prison transformed by the power of Jesus Christ, as they find hope, dignity, and new opportunities to rebuild their futures.

Mission: First Choice Ministry exists to share the love of Christ by uplifting and equipping those in men’s shelters through prayer, encouragement, and practical support that meets both spiritual and everyday needs.

Foundational Scripture: Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2

Ministry Description: First Choice Ministry is a Christ centered outreach who partners with a men’s shelter and is dedicated to serving men with compassion, encouragement, and resources for daily living. Through prayer, fellowship, clothing & meals, job leads, and inspirational teaching, we provide holistic support that empowers men to grow spiritually, emotionally, and practically as they walk toward renewed purpose in Christ.

HATTIE B. WILLIAMS FOOD PANTRY

Purpose: To provide wholesome and nutritious food and essential resources to families who are experiencing food insecurity while promoting dignity and self-sufficiency.

Vision: Provide families with a dignified shopping experience by showing love, compassion and care without judgement.

Mission: To serve the families of Cook County in Illinois with wholesome, healthy food as we work to eradicate hunger one family at a time.

Purpose: To provide health-related support, education, and services to the members of VKMI and the community.

Vision: To serve as an extension of Christ’s healing ministry, utilizing the skills, knowledge, and spiritual gifts of healthcare professionals within VKMI and the community.

Mission: We exist to love God by showing love to others through improving the health of our communities and each person we serve.

Ministry Description: Healthcare Professionals Ministry aspire to be the hands of Christ when serving in this ministry of healing, kindness, and love. Through health education, wellness programs, medical support during church events, and outreach initiatives, the ministry seeks to reflect Christ’s love and care, fostering a healthier, faith-centered environment for everyone.

HEALED AND FREE MINISTRY

Purpose: Healed and Free ministry exists to glorify God by ministering spiritual healing, restoration, and freedom through Jesus Christ.

Vision: Becoming a Christ-centered community revealing God’s love, where the spiritually wounded are restored, the bound are set free, and believers walk in wholeness and freedom through Jesus Christ.

Mission: We minister spiritual healing, restoration, and freedom through prayer, biblical truth, and the power of the Holy Spirit, equipping believers to live healed and free in Christ.

Housing Resource MINISTRY

Purpose: Housing Resource Ministry connects VKMI members and community members with essential resources and supportive services to maintain housing stability.

Vision: To empower our ministry members and community with hope and the housing resources to end housing instability.

Mission: We exist to love God by providing invaluable housing resources to those within our ministry and surrounding community.

Ministry Description: Housing Resource Ministry provides housing resources to those at risk of homelessness through rental assistance resources, the unhoused with shelter referrals, and support those looking for sustainable homeownership through comprehensive pre and post purchase education, ensuring that all homeowners get access to the housing resources that Cook County and the state of Illinois offers.

MEN'S MINISTRY

Purpose: To Provide a Safe Environment for Transparency, Spiritual Growth, and Development.

Vision: We Strive to Answer the Spiritual call of Ministry, Through Fellowship & Community Involvement for all Valley Kingdom Men.

Mission: We Exist to Love God by How We Love our Fellow Brother.

Ministry Description: VFAM Ministries Team is a dedicated advocate serving as a vital liaison between the Staff, our congregation and the community. This role is pivotal in promoting the church’s mission, vision, and values, while fostering a sense of unity and support among our members and the surrounding community. VFAM Ministries Team is passionate about their faith and committed to ensuring that the church’s message is effectively communicated, and its services are accessible to all.

Vessels of Praise Children and Youth Dance Ministry

PURPOSE: To create an atmosphere to teach children to worship in spirit and truth by presenting their bodies as living sacrifices Holy and acceptable vessels unto God.

MISSION: To show the love of Christ through the freedom and expression of worship in dance.

VISION: To train children to glorify God through the visual expression of dance for inspiring and edifying the body of Christ.

Foundational Scripture: Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6 NKJV

Ministry Description: Vessels of Praise is a ministry that encourages children and your in becoming effective ministers of movement to help build the Kingdom of God. Teaching through dance the activation of their spiritual gifts such as prophetic, intercession, warfare, praise, and worship.

Women's Ministry

Purpose: Women of Movement’s ultimate purpose is to pour back into the natural nurturer; to build up and reaffirm who God says they are as women.

Vision: To build women up, and move them forward in their natural and spiritual journeys.

Mission: To equip women to walk in their kingdom purpose, and build strong and lasting relationships with God and other women.

Foundational Scripture: Barak told her, “I will go, but only if you go with me.” “Very well,” she replied, “I will go with you.” Judges 4:8-9a NLT

Ministry Description: Women of Movement, affectionately known as WOM, is for women ages 25 and up. WOM’s focus is to build a sense of Camaraderie, Communication, and Christ-Centeredness. Towards this goal, WOM hosts onsite experiences such as Revive and Level Up, off-campus encounters like Girls’ Night Out and the Soul & Spa Retreat, and small group interactions called S.A.F.E. Circles (Supportive Accountable Female Entrusted).

TEPHILLAH PRAY MINISTRY

Purpose: Bridging the gap between God and His children by praying the Word of God led by the Holy Spirit.

Vision: Empower Intercessors to pray on one accord by faith and build the Kingdom of God internationally through prayer and intercession.

Mission: Tephillah empowers and equips the body of Christ through prayer and intercession to reveal the love and power of God.

Foundational Scripture: Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. James 5:16

Ministry Description: Tephillah Prayer Ministry teaches the importance of prayer through the Word of God, assisting believers in building an effective communication and intimate relationship with God. Training, equipping, empowering, and encouraging all believers in the ministry of prayer and service in the body of Christ.
